In Tokyo

Yay! After a 12 hour flight (super cramped) we finally made it to Tokyo at 4pm.. We transfered money, took advantage of the cool vending machines, and talked about our orientations (mine is in Osaka). Afterwards, we got on a bus and came to the Nikko hotel in Tokyo. The rooms were pretty cool and I took a lot of pictures (the tub had a TV and the toilet sprayed water, etc)! We had a sort of stale dinner, however, we got to talk to other students from all over the world (ex: I talked to people from Korea, Spain, Australia, Chile, and Costa Rica)
Tomorrow we have to wake up at 5am to get ready to take 6 hour bus rides to our orientation sites.

The next morning we all recieved matching yellow shirts. We all took a group picture and then loaded up in a bus. When I got to the place where they weigh your bags my checked bag was 4 pounds over... Ahh! I took out tons of things to carry with me... When they re-weighed my bag I had taken out 10 lbs.. Before I could put some stuff back in they took it! I ended up improvising by stuffing everything in a large plastic trash bag like luggage bag...classy. Later I ended up buying a backback there, however. After the AFS staff left us we all sat around for about an hour before it was finally time to board the plane.

Well, the other day my parents and my best friend took me to the airport in Chicago... It was soo sad and we had to let people go ahead of us when boarding the plane because we were crying so much..

After I got to LA I had to take a shuttle to the La Hacienda hotel where we stayed 1 night... It was sort of shady but it was fun... We got lectured for about 7 hours and by the end we were all exhausted. The food was okkk...
Our room was ok... In the morning for breakfast we had slimy eggs and bacon!

Also, we bought my bags one is a HUGEEE backpack like this one but orange:

The other one is a large suitcase.... actually, it's pretty huge too...It's a Delsey

Last Day of school

Today.was.my.last.day.
It was SOOOOO sad... Some of my friends signed a card/ made a card....and others gave me random things. I'm going to have to send a lot of postcards. I cried a lot and took a lot of pictures even though I'll be back soon enough. There are a lot of people I never said bye to though D:

Next week

Ahh Ok so a while ago we got a ticket for going to LA so I leave to there on March 22...week from tomorrow. I have to leave from Chicago and then fly over by myself at around 10 AM..

netbook

Yesterday, I got a Toshiba NB205 netbook to bring with me on my trip... It seems like it's pretty good from the little I've used it..
